I'm a writer and editor based in Mexico City. ​My work has appeared in Harper's, Bleacher Report, Salon, and the Miami Herald. I'm a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop and have won awards and fellowships from the Fulbright Association, Louisiana Press Association, Cintas Foundation, the MacDowell Colony, and the Faulkner Society. I taught writing and literature at the University of Iowa and am a co-founder of the Berlin Writers’ Workshop.
