I'm a writer and journalist based in Mexico City. My work has appeared in Harper's, Bleacher Report, Salon, Miami Herald, and Tampa Review. I'm a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop, and have won awards and fellowships from the Fulbright Association, Louisiana Press Association, Cintas Foundation, the MacDowell Colony, and the Faulkner Society. I’ve taught at the University of Iowa and the Sackett Street Writers’ Workshop, and teach occasionally at the Berlin Writers’ Workshop.
